This blanket took approximately two months to complete, and we enjoyed every step of the process. We thoughtfully arranged some granny squares to ensure the colors complemented each other before sewing them together. Thinking about the warmth it would provide made the project even more meaningful. We also had fun working on it while chatting with our volunteers. We worked with a few students from the International School of the Hague to create the blanket and even brought it to a workshop at the school, where more students could contribute to the project. Together with the dedicated efforts of all our volunteers, we successfully completed the blanket.
If you are passionate about supporting our mission to provide hand-knitted warmth to the homeless, we would love for you to join us at Wool for Warmth as a volunteer. Help us knit, crochet, and sew squares together to create beautiful blankets for those in need. Your contribution can truly make a meaningful impact on someone’s life.
