On the evening of Friday, February 16, 2024, Wool for Warmth celebrated Linda, the inspiration behind the establishment of Wool for Warmth. Annually, on the anniversary of her passing, we celebrate her memory through a memorial potluck dinner. This was my first time attending the Memorial Day of Linda as a new intern at Wool for Warmth. The event was truly heart-warming with volunteers, families, staff, and friends uniting to celebrate Linda’s memories.
In case you were curious, it’s worth stating that the two people who had a personal connection with Linda during her lifetime were Catherine (Cathy), a good friend of Linda, and Richard, Linda’s husband. They attended the gathering and spoke about the warm-hearted and cheerful nature of Linda.
I express my gratitude to everyone who participated, contributing to a memorable evening. Your participation, from attending the event to arranging and decorating the venue, as well as providing a variety of foods, snacks, and drinks made this celebration possible. To those who were unable to join due to other commitments, I look forward to welcoming you in the year 2025!
I await another year of shared celebrations with the Wool for Warmth family, as we continue to honor Linda’s memory, embracing her warm-hearted spirit, and advancing the organization’s mission.
